Organizational Structure

 

Fortrend Securities Pty Ltd is the Australian subsidiary of Fortrend Securities Inc.  It holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is responsible for servicing your account.

 

Fortrend Securities Inc. is a US stock broking company, and member of Financial Industry Regulatory Authority  (FINRA).  FINRA monitors and regulates the activities of Fortrend Securities Inc. and Fortrend Securities Pty Ltd.  Fortrend Securities Inc is also a member of Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC).  SIPC protects your assets such as stocks and bonds held by a customer at a financially troubled brokerage firm.  Please click here to view the SIPC brochure.

 

Fortrend Securities Inc has arrangements with Pershing LLC (Pershing) to act as its clearing firm.  Pershing is  responsible for the custody of assets, publishing statements, confirmations, sending proxy material and processing corporate actions among other things.  Basically, Pershing operates like the “back office” while Fortrend is the “Front Office” and is responsible for service and advice.
